OverdriveNTool is a GPU overclocking software that allows users to tweak and customize their AMD Radeon graphics cards to improve their performance. This free software is compatible with both Windows and Linux and supports a wide range of AMD GPUs, from the older generation models to the newer ones.
The software has a user-friendly interface, which makes it easy to use even for beginners. It displays all the necessary information about the graphics card, including its temperature, fan speed, clock speed, and memory speed. The main purpose of the software is to help users overclock their GPUs and increase their performance, but it also has other features that help users monitor their GPU’s performance and diagnose problems.
One of the main features of OverdriveNTool is its ability to adjust the clock speed and memory speed of the GPU. By increasing the clock speed and memory speed, users can achieve higher frame rates and smoother gameplay. The software allows users to set custom clock and memory speeds, which can be saved as profiles for different games or applications. This feature is particularly useful for gamers who want to get the most out of their graphics card when playing specific games.
OverdriveNTool also allows users to adjust the voltage and power limit of their GPU. Increasing the voltage can help stabilize higher clock speeds, while increasing the power limit can help prevent throttling and improve performance. However, users should be careful when adjusting these settings, as they can cause instability and potentially damage the GPU.
Another useful feature of OverdriveNTool is its ability to customize the fan curve of the GPU. The fan curve determines how the GPU’s fan speed changes based on its temperature. By customizing the fan curve, users can achieve a balance between cooling and noise levels. This feature is particularly useful for users who want to keep their GPU cool while keeping noise levels to a minimum.
OverdriveNTool also includes a hardware monitoring tool that displays real-time information about the GPU, such as its temperature, fan speed, clock speed, and memory speed. This tool can help users diagnose problems with their GPU, such as overheating or instability issues.

How to use OverdriveNTool
- Download and Install OverdriveNTool
The first step is to download the OverdriveNTool utility from the official website. Once you have downloaded the tool, extract the files to a folder on your hard drive. You will see an executable file named “OverdriveNTool.exe” in the folder. Double-click on the file to launch the program. - Create a Profile
Before you start overclocking your graphics card, it is important to create a profile that you can use to save your settings. To create a profile, click on the “New” button located at the bottom of the application window. Give the profile a name that will help you identify it later, and then click on the “Save” button. - Familiarize Yourself with the Application Interface
The OverdriveNTool interface is divided into several sections. The main section contains the GPU and memory clock sliders that you will use to overclock your graphics card. Below the clock sliders, you will see a graph that displays the clock speed and temperature of your graphics card over time. On the right side of the interface, you will see options for configuring fan speed, power limit, and voltage. - Overclocking Your Graphics Card
To overclock your graphics card, you will need to adjust the clock speed sliders. The GPU slider controls the clock speed of the graphics processing unit, while the memory slider controls the clock speed of the graphics card’s memory. The sliders are color-coded to help you identify which one you are adjusting. For example, the GPU slider is red, and the memory slider is green.- The clock speed sliders can be adjusted in increments of 1 MHz. To adjust the clock speed, click and drag the slider to the desired speed. As you adjust the sliders, you will see the clock speed and temperature graph update in real-time.
- Fan Control
One of the most important aspects of overclocking your graphics card is keeping it cool. To help keep your graphics card cool, you can adjust the fan speed using OverdriveNTool. To do this, click on the “Fan” tab on the right side of the interface. Here, you will see options for configuring the fan speed.- You can adjust the fan speed using the “Manual Fan Control” option or the “Auto Fan Control” option. If you choose the manual option, you will need to set the fan speed to a specific value. If you choose the auto option, the tool will adjust the fan speed based on the temperature of your graphics card.
- Power Limit and Voltage
In addition to adjusting clock speeds and fan speeds, you can also adjust the power limit and voltage of your graphics card using OverdriveNTool. These options are located on the right side of the interface under the “General Settings” tab.- The power limit controls the maximum amount of power that your graphics card can draw. Increasing the power limit can help you achieve higher clock speeds, but it can also increase the temperature of your graphics card. The voltage slider allows you to adjust the voltage of your graphics card. Increasing the voltage can help you achieve higher clock speeds, but it can also increase the temperature of your graphics card.
- Saving and Applying Your Settings
Once you have finished adjusting your graphics card settings, it is important to save your profile. To do this, click on the “Save” button located at the bottom of the interface. You can then load your profile later to quickly apply your settings.- To apply your settings, click on the “Apply” button located
Overall, OverdriveNTool is a powerful tool that can help users get the most out of their AMD Radeon graphics cards. However, users should be careful when overclocking their GPU and make sure to monitor their GPU’s temperature and stability. It’s also recommended to gradually increase clock and memory speeds until the desired performance is achieved.

How is this software different from native software? All the same settings, just filed differently.
With a glitch (any) of the video card, the native software resets the settings to default. Then climb through the menus again, restore overclocking … this is not long in principle, but if there are more than two cards, then while you set up mining completely for everything, this monotonous manipulation several times an hour will piss you off.
In this program, you make a profile and apply it with one button, and when you set everything up, the profile is also applied through autoload. When the card crashes and is reset by native software to default, you just apply the profile again through the batch file, even without rebooting.
